We use the best quality rebated shiplap boarding, cut boards on the roof and floor (not O.S.B), wall uprights at average 400mm centres (stops cladding warping), 20kg green mineral felt on the roof, 610x610mm agricultural glass in wondows (not plastic), large cross section (size dependant on roof length) roof bearers at average 400mm centres to stop roof sagging, roof truss on sheds over 9ft long (to ensure roof strength), prepared timber fascia and barge boards with cover fillets to eaves.

We have tried over the years to eliminate the problem areas with garden sheds  - most sheds suffer with water penetration from the corners, windows, joins between walls and floor and doors- and have such included as standard on our sheds ;

HAYMAC 'extras'

  • door thresholds
  • corner cover fillets
  • water run of strip to wall / floor joints
  • damp proof membrane between floor joist ends and floor boards
  • fully framed doors (not just ledged and braced) with heavy duty door stops
  • window cills

We can make any shed for you in our premier range from 4ft x 6ft to 20ft x 20ft , larger sheds can be manufactured should you require.

We also offer a smaller range of sheds in our 'Allotment Range' which suit people with a smaller budget that still want a quality building, these sheds are made using traditional tanalised feather edge boarding and lack the 'Haymac extras' we provide on our premier range. These are very popular with people on allotments or people who just need a bit of extra space for their gardening tools.

We can also install your shed for you and if needed we can install a timber frame base for the building or a concrete slab

PLANNING CONSENT

We can construct your shed/workshop to conform with the permitted development guidelines to avoid the need for local authority planning consent, although it is alway wise to just check with your local planning authority that your build is acceptable. Should you wish to have a building that does require planning consent we can provide from our in-house design guys a design drawing of your building which will be acceptable for the planning authority to issue planning consent against (fee attached but refundable on order of shed).  We also offer a complete design and planning package that can relieve you of the worries of dealing with your local planning authoriy. (fee attached for design drawing and application fee with design drawing cost refunded on shed order)
