Cabin / Home Office- Supply & Fit Option Available

All our cabins are built on an individual client basis so you can choose exactly how you want it to look.

These cabins, when insulated and timber lined, offer all year round comfort and make a great home office , weekend guest room, home gym or hobby / craft room.

Our standard optional insulation for our cabins is 50mm Jablite, if you wanted greater insulation and you insultate with Celotex or equivalent insulation at 60mm thick you could expect to achieve U-value ratings for the walls of around 0.45W/m²k, for the ceiling of around 0.45W/m²k and for the floor of around  0.36W/m²k. These ratings can be improved by constructing your cabin with deeper cross section timbers allowing thicker insulation to be used.

This building is the top of the range garden accessory and will give many faithful years of service. We can offer our cabins with UPVC windows and doors or the more traditional timber framed windows and doors.

All cabins are left untreated for you to stain, there are many colours available now which can be used to fully indivualise your building, if you are unable to stain the cabin yourself we can offer a staining service at additional cost. 

As standard, our cabins are built from high quality Ex. 22x100mm rebated Swedish soft wood log lap, we use Ex. 50 x 70mm CLS timber frame work, 3 Ex. 150 x 50mm cut boards for roof and floor, install a vapour barrier membrane between stud work and wall cladding, Ex. 50 x 70mm CLS roof  and floor bearers (larger cross section timber used on bigger buildings), All barge boards, corner fillets and fascias are upgraded in thickness from our summer house range and are all prepared  finished. a choice of optional roof covering is available from green mineral felt, mineral felt shingles, black Euroline corrugated sheeting and for that very special building -Cedar shingles.

We offer an optional range of internal finishes from quality Red wood TG&V boarding , ply boarding & plaster board (ready for you to plaster). All of these internal finishes are best installed with the building being insulated which we also offer as an optional extra.

PLANNING CONSENT

We can construct your cabin to conform with the permitted development guidelines to avoid the need for local authority planning consent, although it is alway wise to just check with your local planning authority that your build is acceptable. Should you wish to have a building that does require planning consent we can provide from our in-house design guys a design drawing of your building which will be acceptable for the planning authority to issue planning consent against (fee attached but refundable on order of cabin).  We also offer a complete design and planning package that can relieve you of the worries of dealing with your local planning authoriy. (fee attached for design drawing and application fee with design drawing cost refunded on cabin order)
